Are You Creating Change?

The Upcoming 3/26/25 Wednesday Wave

While on the phone Sunday, I walked to the kitchen window to stare into the distance like usual, when I realized that a group of people directly below, were waving up at me. OMG! I must have missed the email about a neighborhood gathering to address the dangerous intersection! 

I got off the phone, grabbed a handful of cold, sliced beef kielbasa for lunch, donned a raincoat, and descended into the group. As I ate the greasy handful of meat in the pouring rain, you would have thought I was famous. 

A couple smiled and waved, a man introduced himself, a woman hugged me, another shook my hand, and many got my number. The leader of the pack, flamboyantly touted my praises. Everyone was freezing and wet, but he was making them stand there and listen to how “Ariel has reignited the movement to get the city to change this dangerous intersection.” He expressed how “they had all given up because of the Department of Transportation’s dismissive responses, but Ariel doesn’t seem to be bothered by this.”  

It’s true! I don’t care. I’m new here and my lease is month-to-month, so I could leave at anytime. But for some reason, after I submitted a bunch of fender-benders and laid out my unsolicited plan for the intersection, the Department of Transportation started showing up and making changes. I was even on the local news one day because I happened to head out on a walk right as the reporters showed up. 

What really happened is that I set the intention that the Angelic Light from the Wednesday Waves would flood the streets below me, and that Angels would station themselves to protect everyone on the ground. There would be no deaths or injuries in front of me. My prayers set the power of the Light into motion. The neighbors think it was me, but the Light is the real moving force. 

When the leader of the neighborhood pack rallied them onward to assess the next intersection, I slipped away to return to my warm lighthouse to stand in wonder and awe. 

When we radiate Light, our environment changes around us. I did not work hard to drive change. I was, actually, away for three months of last summer, and have traveled nine times this year already. When simple actions are fueled by Light, the ripple effect is effortless. 

It’s out of my hands now, with a momentum of its own, as the neighbors bombard the city with their detailed statistics and maps. If this chaotic intersection gets a better traffic flow, I might just continue to live here in my tower.

I love sharing stories in my newsletters, but I also love sharing the Light in my group waves.

Don’t worry, you are not in a group, really. There is no group thread or showing up to a gathering of people, and you don’t have to stop your work. No one knows when I send the Light 3Xs throughout Wednesday. They continue on with their meetings and tasks. 

I send the light to a list of names on paper that I hold in my hands. I do not share this list. Everyone messages me privately. When I send out the ✨ star emoji after each “wave” of light, I send it from a group texting app, but it goes out individually, and your response only comes back to me.
