The Star

7/30/24

Hello!

As Iโ€™ve mentioned, I finally found a project manager to work on sending out the star โœจ emoji again. (Stay tuned in the next few weeks.) But listen to this validation!

Iโ€™m in a small West Virginia town for the season. So, I knew that the coffee shop table, where I was writing, was made by my deceased father years ago. But, when my drink came, I was confused as I slid my papers aside to realize I had been writing directly over a light wooden star embedded in the dark surface of the table. I got up and asked the owner about it. He said, โ€œYeh, your Dad got really creative when he refinished these tabletops and brought them back with some crazy designs in them.โ€ย

I asked my sister about it and found out that Dad had run into a problematic knot when sanding it down. So, he cut out the hole in the shape of a star, and set a lighter wooden star down in there to cover it up. Who knew that years later, his project would be an affirmation for me to bring the star โœจ back to the group waves!

For those of you who joined after I quit sending out the stars โœจ, I used to text everyone on the list, three times a day on Wednesdays. I would text a star โœจ emoji to let you know I had just finished sending the light to the names on the list. I could not keep up with so much screen time, so now I just send an email after every light wave instead. But stay tuned, because apparently, we are bringing the star back!

Until then, Iโ€™ll continue to write a newsletter after each wave.

The world is full of magic when we are aware of it. I just took a very short walk, barefoot after a rain, and ended up meeting a woman that I talked to for over an hour because we had so much in common. She kept saying, โ€œI canโ€™t believe this! Iโ€™ve never met anyone else like me!โ€ I just laughed in delight and walked home barefoot in the wet grass.

And Sunday? Omgโ€ฆon Sunday morning, I happened to return home from the coffee shop, five minutes before the tiny Baptist church service was about to start. The minister invited me in, and next thing you know I was in tears as a guest speaker told us how she saved 337 women from sex trafficking in Oman. Mind is officially blown by this womanโ€™s bravery and compassion.

My takeaway from these stories and more is that when we cultivate our relationship to the Light realm, meaningful experiences happen to us everywhere we go. The light around us affects our world. Angels open doors. Magic happens.ย
